Q. "What makes something vandal-resistant?"
A. Vandal-resistant items are designed to be significantly more difficult for unauthorized personnel to alter. This means that aerators and bolts require special tools to remove, restroom fixtures are made of stainless steel (as opposed to breakable porcelain), and valves are often hidden, or otherwise rendered inaccessible. Vandal-resistant items are also designed for heavy usage, and so are ideal in any high-traffic area, even if actual malicious damage is minimal.
