The Harvard Deep Well Air Release Control System Type HAE1 is designed to manage excess air in non-bladder style pressure tanks, ensuring system efficiency and preventing air discharge into service lines.
Factory-set to release air at 25 PSI, the valve can be adjusted from 0 to 40 PSI using the top-mounted screw�each full turn adjusts the pressure by approximately 5 PSI.
Operates using an internal float mechanism that opens the release valve when excess air lowers the water level in the tank, allowing air to bleed off safely.
When tank pressure drops to the pump�s cut-in setting (typically 20 PSI), the pump starts, raising water and air back into the tank until it reaches the cut-out setting (typically 40 PSI).
The rising water level lifts the float and closes the valve, preventing water from escaping and preparing the system for the next cycle.
Helps maintain optimal water-to-air ratio in deep well systems, extending the life of equipment and improving water delivery consistency.
Simple screw adjustment allows precise control of air release pressure without removing the unit from the system.
