Sloan Solis® Sensor Operated Solar Powered Toilet Flushometers

The Sloan Solis® is the first solar powered flushometer on the market. These eco friendly flushometers feature dual flush cycles; the first cycle is a full 1.6 gpf/6.0 Lpf flush for solid waste, while the other flush option is 1.1 gpf/4.2 Lpf for liquid waste, making these some of the most eco friendly and water conserving flushometers around. If the user does not select a flush option, the unit's Smart Sense Technology will automatically flush the unit based on how long the user remains in range of the sensor. Hands free operation eliminates the need for user contact to help control the spread of infectious diseases.

Frequently Asked Questions

Q. "What happens if there is not enough light to power the unit?"
A. The state-of-the-art photovoltaic solar cell can provide approximately 100% power with 650 Illuminance (lux) and can harvest power from artificial indoor light, either incandescent or fluorescent. In the event that there is not enough light to power the unit, the convenient 4 "AA" backup batteries will take over and power the unit. The batteries are located under the cover assembly and per the manufacturer should last approximately 6 Years @ 4,000 Flushes/Month. When it's time to change the batteries the units battery indication light will flash alerting you to the problem.

Q. "What happens if there is not enough light for the unit to operate and the backup batteries are dead as well? Can the unit still be used under these circumstances?"
A. The unit features an override button that enables manual flushing if sensor's power source fails.

Q. "At what pressures will these flushometers operate at?"
A. Per the manufacturers documentation the unit will function at pressures between 15-100 psi.

Q. "What is the sensor range of these sensor operated flushometers?"
A. The sensor range is 22"-42" and has an adjustment range of up to 8".

Q. "What is the Bak-chek angle stop?"
A. The Bak-Chek® angle stop serves three purposes: First, it serves as a shutoff or stop valve (angle stop). It's second function is to control the flow rate to the flushometer unit; the flow rate must be adjusted depending on the supply pressure to the valve. The third purpose of the The Bak-Chek® angle stop is to ensure that if the water supply system loses pressure, the Bak-Chek® keeps the valve pressurized. This helps prevent valve run on when the pressure is restored.

Q. "What is Chloramine?"
A. Chloramine is most commonly used as a disinfectant in tap water. Most municipalities use either Chlorine and/or Chloramine to treat drinking water.
