The frost proof S3 Sanitary Yard Hydrnt is equipped with a diverter spout which allows the hydrant to be operated separately from the back flow preventer. No water is ever introduced into the subsoil. The diverter evacuates the reservoir with each use and lets air into the system when shut off. Even with a hose attached, the hydrant will drain into the reservoir and avoid freezing.
Easy maintenance: The entire working portion of the hydrant can be removed from the reservoir without any excavation.
