The Grundfos GO Remote app lets you read pump operating data and fault indications and lets you set the control mode or head pressure you want. You can also select an external set point signal, or the digital input function you prefer. The Grundfos GO Remote app will let you assign pump numbers to pumps that are being operated in parallel to distinguish between them so you will know which one you are communicating with.

The Grundfos GO Remote app must be used in conjunction with a smartphone and one of the mobile interface devices offered by Grundfos. You can use your cellular phone and one of the Grundfos mobile interface devices. The MI-202 is an add on module made to be used with Apple iPod touch 4G, iPhone 4G or later version. It has built-in infrared and radio communication. The MI-301 must be used with an Android or IOS-based Smartphone with a Bluetooth connection. The MI-301 has built-in infrared and radio communication and comes with a rechargeable Li-ion battery that must be charged separately.

Please Note:The MAGNA3 pumps have a built-in wireless GENIair module enabling communication between pumps and with the Grundfos GO Remote without the use of add-on modules.

The Grundfos GO Remote app is available for free from Apple App Store and Google play.

Frequently Asked Questions

Q. "What is a closed system?"
A. A closed system is one in which you very rarely need to add fresh water into the system. Closed systems usually have air eliminators installed in the system to remove all air and bubbles from the system and the same water is circulated through the system. Constantly adding fresh water to a closed system will cause air (oxygen) to enter into the system and the oxygen will cause rust and corrosion to a cast iron pump leading to pump failure.

Q. "What is an open system?"
A. An open system is one in which fresh water is frequently added to the system. Domestic hot water circulation systems are a good example of an open system. When the hot side of a faucet is opened for use, cold water enters into the water heater. Stainless steel pumps should be used for open systems since they are not effected by the introduction of oxygen (air) into the system.

Q. "What is bus communication?"
A. A communication bus is a device made to transmit data from components in computers or processors to other components in the same computer or to other computers or processors. Bus communication occurs when data is transferred back and forth from one computer component to another.
