VersaFlo® Circulator Pumps

Most VersaFlo™ UPS wet rotor circulator pumps can replace other manufacturers' 3-piece dry runners without piping modifications, and they occupy less space as well. These circulators are whisper-quiet and maintenance-free, and they feature an integrated pump and motor design. These easy to install pumps are durable and reliable, so you can count on them time after time.

VersaFlo® UPS Series Circulator Pumps
UPS Series Pumps Features:
  • Ideal for pumping water in heating and air conditioning systems as well as water in domestic hot-water systems
  • 2 or 3 speed motors
  • Water cooled rotors - The rotors are designed so that the water being pumped surrounds the rotor, cooling and lubricating the shaft and bearings
  • Pumps are canned rotor type meaning the pump & motor form an integral unit without shaft seal and with only two gaskets for sealing
  • Built-in thermal overload switch

Q. "What is ANSI?"
A. American National Standards Institute - It is a general standards organization that facilitates the voluntary establishment of standards.

Q. "What are the pump flanges constructed of?"
A. They come in either cast iron or bronze depending on the type of pump housing option you choose. A cast iron pump housing will have cast iron flanges, and a bronze pump housing will have bronze flanges.

Q. "How is the quality of a Grundfos brand pump?"
A. We know of no finer made pump. Having said that we do want you to realize that every pump has a specific function. Every pump also has a specific flow rate, etc. so please don't assume that you can simply order the lowest priced Grundfos pump and that it will work for your situation. Grundfos is top quality but recognize that a $20,000 bicycle might not go as fast as a $15,000 car.

Q. "What do the numbers 1, 2, & 3 on the lines refer to in the performance curve graphs?"
A. The speed of the pump.
