"What are the seats made of?"
The Close-Color-Select seats are molded plastic which is more durable to painted composition wood.
"What if I know the color (or color code) for the toilet seat? Can I just order the color instead of ordering the color seat kit?"
Yes. If you already know what color you need (or the color code), then click here. This page has all the colors included in the kit (plus a few more). All you need to do is choose the type of toilet seat (round or elongated) you want, then simply select the color you want by clicking the checkbox. Click here for a huge selection of colored toilet seats.
"Are these seats new or used?"
These seats are brand new and factory sealed. Rest assured that the toilet seats that you order and receive from us have never been used ("tried"). Please note: Toilet seats are considered a personal hygiene item and may not be returned.
"Why are toilet seats non-returnable?"
For hygiene reasons, we cannot allow or accept return of any toilet seat or bidet seat once it has left our warehouse. When you order your seat from us, you can be absolutely certain the seat is brand new, and has never been used by anyone before you. Once a seat has been delivered and is in the possession of the purchaser, there is no way for us to be completely sure the seat was never installed or tested; even if we're told the box had only been opened to look at the color or design of the seat, how would we then be able to guarantee the cleanliness of that seat to any other customer? We want you to rest assured any toilet seat you purchase from us is sanitary, brand new, and was never used or installed by anyone before you. If we accepted the return of toilet seats, then we could not make the same guarantee to the next customer.
"This kit sounds like it will solve my problem! However, I need my toilet seat as soon as possible. If I request 2nd Day Air shipment when I order the Color Kit, will the manufacturer ship the seat to me via 2nd Day Air?"
Unfortunately, no. The order form that's included in the Close-Color-Select kits only allows for standard Ground shipment. If you request 2nd Day Air shipment, the Color Kit will be shipped via 2nd Day Air (and so you will receive it quickly), but the seat itself would still only be shipped via Ground once the manufacturer received the order form you mailed to them.
"I can understand why toilet seats themselves cannot be returned, but why are these Close-Color-Select Toilet Seat Kits non-returnable? What if I don't see my color listed on the chart or I need a different type of seat model?"
The order form that's included with the kit has a serial number stamped on it, which signifies that the form represents the purchase of one toilet seat; once the form is mailed into the manufacturer by the customer and the seat is shipped out, that serial number is "closed" in their system as a valid order number. We cannot accept return of the Close-Color-Select Kits, as we want our customers to be assured the order forms within their kits are still valid; there's no possibility someone else photocopied or faxed the order form to order a seat (thus invalidating the order form's serial number, making it useless), and then returned the kit and order form to us for credit. Therefore, return of these Close-Color-Select Kits is strictly prohibited. If you are concerned your color may not be listed, it may be best for you to contact a toilet seat manufacturer (such as Bemis, Beneke, Olsonite) etc., or try to match a seat locally. We do not want you to be stuck with a $60.00 color chart and order form you cannot use.
"Which is 'better', plastic or wood seats?"
Injection molded plastic is more durable than painted composition "wood." Basic plastic seats do tend to "wobble" a little more than wood though. If you are looking for top notch toilet seats then we suggest that you see Pressalit toilet seats (click here).
"Can I have this product shipped to me in Hawaii?"
Unlike 99% of our products that we offer, this product is only available for shipment to the Continental US. It cannot be shipped to Hawaii, Alaska, APO's or US Territories.
"What are the main toilet seat manufacturers in the U.S.?"
Church Seat, Bemis. Beneke, Sperzel, Centoco and Olsonite.
