A. Steaming showers should not set off this alarm. Direct moisture is what sets off this water detection alarm. When you put this water detection sensor alarm under a sink, where a slow drip occurs, and the wood cabinet gets moist/wet, the alarm should go off. Humidity and steam alone will not set the alarm off according to the manufacturer.
