The ALM-2R is a very easy to install wireless liquid level alarm system with an automatic reset and a battery back-up. The ALM-2R alarm system utilizes a battery operated wireless transmitter that can be placed inside a tank up to 150 feet away from the indoor alarm. If water rises in the tank causing the alarm float switch to activate, a transmitter sends a signal to the indoor alarm that sounds a horn, and activates a light, to warn you of a potentially threatening liquid level condition. The horn can be silenced, but the alarm light will remain on until the condition has been corrected. Once the condition has been rectified, the alarm will automatically reset.
This modern day technology allows the installation of an alarm in pre-existing outdoor systems. No electrical cables or electrician required. No digging trenches and no damage to expensive landscaping! The ALM-2R alarm system can monitor liquid levels in sump pump basins, holding tanks, lift pump stations, sewage pump chambers, effluent filters, and other water applications.
The alarm horn can be heard 10 feet (3 meters) away at 87 decibels. If the primary power fails, the alarm system will continue to work with a 9 volt DC battery (battery not included) back-up feature. The alarm will chirp to signal the battery charge is low.
If the signal between the indoor alarm box and the remote transmitter is lost an alarm sounds and the red light blinks, this occurs after 3 hours and 15 minutes without a signal.
The indoor alarm box comes with a 6 foot power cord and has light indicators; Red for "alarm" and Green for "power on". The box also has two push buttons; one is the "test" switch, and the other is the horn "silence" switch. The wireless transmitter includes a non-mercury signal master switch and 10 feet of cable.
