Q. "What is LO-V.O.C.?"
A. LO-V.O.C. cement produce significantly less amounts of "V.O.C.'s". V.O.C. stands for volatile organic compounds which are unhealthy when breathed or induced. V.O.C.'s also diminish air quality. Please read and follow all directions carefully when applying these cements.
Q. "How do I glue ABS pipe?"
A. To glue ABS pipe, check that any cut ends are fairly straight. Remove any burrs with a knife or emery cloth and clean both pieces with a rag. Apply ABS glue to both the pipe and fitting.
Q. "Do you offer PVC primer?"
A. We have not found a brand of primer that we are confident will not leak in transit. It is highly flammable and in our opinion, too dangerous to ship.
Q. "What is ABS?"
A. Acrylonitrile Butadiene Styrene - it's a thermoplastic used to make molded products such as pipes/fittings.
Q. "What is PVC?"
A. Polyvinyl chloride - it is a very common thermoplastic polymer widely used in pipe systems.
Q. "What is CPVC?"
A. Chlorinated polyvinyl chloride - it is PVC that has been chlorinated. It is popular because it's relatively low cost, resistant to chemicals, and can be used for hot and cold water systems.
