"What is the advantage of the "adjustable stop screw?"
The adjustable stop screw allows you to adjust the limit to which the handle can turn in the hot direction. By doing so, you can preset the
handle to turn to the desired temperature setting. Many hot water heaters are set at high temperatures for automatic dishwashing and clothes washing, but the temperature may also be high enough to scald. By using the stop screw, the handle will be stopped
from going into the higher temperature range.
