Stone Vessel Sinks

Q. "What is a vessel sink ?"
A. A vessel sink is a free standing bowl. These sinks have a unique flat bottom which does not require a mounting ring, so they can sit on top of a counter or on a stand designed to accommodate a vessel sink.

Q. "Is each series of sinks identical? Meaning if I order two 'Indian Green' sinks, will they have the same exact patterns"
A. Because each of these sinks is cut from natural stone, no two sinks will have the exact same patterns or markings.

Q. "Are there any special considerations when caring for my stone sink?"
A. To keep the surface shiny, the manufacturer recommends not using any abrasive cleaners or cleaners that contain acetone as a component as this will dull the surface of the bowl.

Q. "Will a standard pop-up drain and standard sink trap work on these stone sinks, or do I need to purchase the ones listed above?"
A.Standard pop-up drains are typically not used on vessel sinks. Most 1-1/4" bathroom sink drains will work but if the drain is going to be exposed, you may want to order a designer sink trap like the one listed above or a fancy P-trap listed here.

Q. "What size hole do I need to drill in my vanity (countertop) in order for the drain to go through?"
A.The manufacturer recommends a 1-3/4" hole for the drain.
