A. Permex™ is a patented rubber compound that is formulated to withstand the deteriorating effects of ammonia and chloramine which are often used in water treatment facilities and cleaners.

Q. "How long do the batteries last and are they hard to replace?"
A. Per Sloan Valve Co. these batteries should last approximately 3 years @ 4,000 flushes a month. To replace the batteries simply pop off the lens window to access the old batteries, and replace them with new ones.
