Sand Filters (Separators)
Sandy Water In: Water, sand, silt and grit flow from the pump into the sandmaster.
Centrifugal Action Separation: Particles are thrown to perimeter, flall and collect in the lower chamber.
Clean Water Out: Free of sand, silt and grit water exits the separator and flows to the pressure tank.
Sand Purge: Open the valve periodically to flush away separated particles.
After the sand filters, we recommend installing a smaller particle filter.
Through 1" we recommend the
#W10PR housing with
either the
#W30PEHD or #W50PEHD
filter cartridges.
Through 1 1/2" the
#W15PR housing with dual
#W30PEHD or #W50PEHD sediment cartridges are recommended.
The Sand master can not eliminate red colored clay/soil/mud - it will take out sand (which is heavier)
but the red color may indicate another water quality concern.
