Q. "Which components do I have to have for the steam bath system to work?"
A. You have to get a steam generator, a controller, and a steamhead for the steam bath system to work. The steam generator is sold separately and the controller is sold with the steamhead.

Q. "How close to the seating area should the steamhead be mounted?"
A. The steamhead should be mounted 18" above the finished floor or 6" above the rim of the tub and as far from the seating area as possible. However, the control for the steam generator can be close or far from the seating area as long as it's 48" above the floor.

Q. "Does the SMC-150 digital temperature control have to be mounted inside the steam room?"
A. Yes, as this allows the thermostat on the timer to control the amount of heat in the steam room. If you would like to have an on/off switch outside the steamroom, then you can also purchase the SMC-120 timer/control. The SMC-120 control works in conjunction with the SMC-150 by allowing you to turn the generator on from outside the steamroom and then the SMC-150 takes over to control the temperature of the steamroom.

Q. "Can I purchase just the SMC-120 timer control to turn on/off my SM generator?"
A. The SMC-120 on/off control can be used by itselt to turn on/off SM Series generators that do not exceed 9KW. The SMC-120 on/off control will shut off automatically after 30 minutes and then must be turned on again. If these were used on larger SM model generators (over 9KW), not using the SMC-120 timer controller in conjunction with the SMC-150 temperature control will result in raising the temperature of the steamroom too high (unsafe) even in just 30 minutes.

Q. "How many steam heads can I put on a steam generator?"
A. You can put as many steam heads on your steam generator as you want to. However, the more steamheads you have the more it divides up the steam. Eventually there will be very little steam coming out of the steam heads if there are a lot of them.
