Simple, straightforward and low shipping rates for these flexible bathtub drains.
Q. "I need the overflow section to be a little shorter. Can I cut it?"
A. These flexible waste and overflow kits are specifically designed to be able to be cut and fit in the field. The flexible green piping is only welded to the overflow fitting, but not to the tee fitting that leads to the tub drain. You can cut that "loose" end of the flexible piping to the perfect height before cementing it permanently to the tee fitting. Please note, altered products are not eligible for return, so be sure to double check your measurements before cutting.
Q. "What is a PVD finish?"
A. A PVD finish is designed to not corrode, tarnish, or discolor. It is developed by embedding molecules deep into the surface, creating a bond that is nearly indestructible. This process is known as Physical Vapor Deposition (PVD).
Q. "I notice that you offer polished brass, antique brass, and other designer finishes. Are they as durable as chrome?"
A. No, items with chrome finish are typically less likely to tarnish than designer finishes. However, many manufacturers also include care and cleaning guides with their products so you can continue to enjoy your designer finishes for years with proper care.
Q. "What is a PresFlo® drain and what makes it ADA compliant?"
A. A PresFlo® drain is designed to be opened and closed by "finger pressure"; the drain opening cover pivots when pressed. In the open position, the drain cover is visibly tilted, allowing drainage; in the closed position the cover is flat, creating a seal. As the Presflo® drains are a push mechanism requiring very little force to operate, they qualify as ADA compliant.
Q. "Can I use PVC cement on ABS fittings?"
A. In a word, no. PVC cement is designed for PVC only, and so will not work properly with ABS fittings. Always use cements and glues specifically designed for the material you are using (you can typically find this information listed on the container). Looking for ABS glue/cement? Click here.
Q. "I see that you offer bath waste and overflow kits, but I only want to replace a small piece. Can you help me?"
A. We offer quality repair parts from Watco for bath waste and overflow systems here. Watco products are very nearly universal, and so these parts will fit most common bath waste and overflow installations.
Q. "Are these flexible bath waste and drain kits ADA compliant?"
A. The Presflo® drain is ADA compliant as it requires very little pressure to open and close, but the cable operated waste and overflow units offered on this page require twisting to open and close, and so do not meet handicap-friendly standards.
