"Do faucets have lead?" Faucets made with brass will have a certain amount of lead (roughly 3% to 8%) contained in the brass as part of the manufacturing process. The Diamond™ Seal faucets completely separate water contact from any metal in your faucet by using Pex-c waterways. "How does lead content in brass faucets affect me?" Water is a solvent, probably the best known solvent on earth. As such, water will absorb metals, minerals, and chemicals that it comes in contact with over a period of time. A faucet that has brass waterways can be susceptible to this process. Water sitting in your faucet can leach the lead out of the brass and enter your water system. "What is Magnatite™ docking?" This keeps the kitchen spray head/wand firmly in place with a powerful integrated magnet, so it stays docked when not in use. The spray head (wand) comes free with a gentle tug and gives you total flexibility. As you raise the wand to dock it, the magnet embedded in the spout pulls the wand precisely into place. "What is a Brilliance® finish?" A Brilliance® finish is designed to not corrode, tarnish, or discolor. It is developed by embedding molecules deep into the surface, creating a bond that is nearly indestructible. This process is known as Physical Vapor Deposition (PVD). "Are real diamonds used?" Yes, but not the diamonds you would typically find in a jewelry store. Carbon (the source of diamonds) is taken and electrically charged. Then, using high amounts of pressure, fused to a ceramic plate, creating a diamond coating that is clear and nearly indestructible. "What is Touch2O™?" Touch2O™ technology lets you turn the water on or off just by touching any part of the handle or faucet. It's more sanitary, and it lets you save water by stopping it momentarily when your hands are full and you don't want to reach back and manually turn the handle. "What is an InnoFlex™ waterway/supply line?" Innoflex™ is a crosslink polyethylene (PEX-C) that is commonly used in the U.S. These new faucet waterways have a unique composition that makes it stronger than copper and easier to work with because it's flexible.
