This tub is available with an Airbath System when ordering a tub with a pedestal base instead of clawfeet. The system is concealed under the base with the control panel located on the wall of the tub (above the water line). It includes 18 individual air jets, variable speed blower, heated air system, control pad, pulse/water feature, water detection sensor and automated drying cycle. The airbath system with this tub combines a "vintage feel and glamour with modern amenities."

"With your cast iron clawfoot tubs you state prices for unfinished and finished. The finished states sanded, primed and enameled. Does enameled mean painted?"

Yes. Enameled means those are sanded, primed and then painted with quality enamel paint.

"Are the above cast iron tubs antique or reproductions?"
We only sell new, quality cast iron tubs. We do not offer used or "refinished" (painted with epoxy inside) tubs. These tubs have a real porcelain china glaze on the inside and they are brand new, similar to the tubs sold new 80 plus years ago.

"This double ended cast iron clawfoot tub seems like it's very heavy. Does the delivery charge include taking the tub up to the second floor?
It is heavy and not easy to move around. It is crated well though. The delivery charge is to get the double ended tub to your house, it does not include getting it into your house. Your tub gets delivered by a trucking company such as Viking, Bestway, etc and they only deliver to your house.

"Anything else that I should consider (know about) when buying a cast iron bath tub?"
All brands of cast iron products: if ordered with unfinished exteriors will need to be painted on the non painted surfaces, if you wish to prevent (natural) rusting on cast iron. All brands of enameled cast iron tubs, sinks, floor sinks and lavs may have some overspray of enamel (however small). All brands of enameled cast iron plumbing products will have some waves in the finish (meaning the surface is not totally flat - unlike glass on top of sheetmetal). Reminder: check your tub immediately after receiving for any freight damage or defects. After 30 days warranty is with the manufacturer.

"Do the dimensions shown refer to the interior of the tub, or the exterior of the tub?"
Generally (at least 98% of the time) the dimensions shown are for the outside (the farthest/longest point) of the tub, not the interior dimensions. If exact dimensions are very critical in your decision process, please do contact/ask us before ordering and we can let you know the "exact" dimensions of whatever tub you'll ask us about.
