Q. "Will these hand showers shut all the way off? I only need the water when rinsing, but hate to turn the water off at the valve?"
A. Federal code prohibits complete shutoff of showerheads and handshowers. However, since many people wish to conserve water while shampooing, soaping up, or shaving, Alsons (and many other showerhead manufacturers) created a trickle feature for their showerheads and hand showers. The handshowers included with these grab bar systems include a push button trickle feature, which reduces the spray to a trickle to help conserve water while the user is shampooing or soaping.

Q. "What is the difference between the flexible stainless steel hose and the UltraFlex hand shower hose?"
A. The Alsons 495DS series hand shower hose is designed with stainless steel material spiraled over a rubber inner line with plated brass nuts, making it durable and beautiful. The UltraFlex 490 series hose is reinforced nylon polyester with PVC. With a crystal PVC outer sheath, an elastic PVC inner liner, and plated brass nuts, this hose will last for years to come.
